290922 - my first oil painting with Matt Philips & life drawing with John Close

We were thrilled to hear that we would have the opportunity to learn oil painting with Matt Philips, whose work includes buildings, people, land and design. He provided us with a rich experience in our first class, not only with a useful handout but also demonstrations on mixing colours to paint different skin tones and a blue sky.

At the life drawing class, John taught us how to draw contour lines and gave advice on how to make improvements.
